Claudia Schwarz, born in 1977, originally started off as an English/German major, recently switched to NorthAmerican Studies at Freie Universität Berlin.
Apart from the modern classics (Stein, DosPassos etc.,) post(post)modern authors such as Auster, DeLillo, and the new neorealists (Frantzen) interests include modern and contemporary (American) poetry (i.e. Nuyorican poets, language poets) and their re-definition of language, as well as media and popular culture, especially American (independent) film.
